About

THE PROJECT

To navigate the future, It Is essential to equip EU citizens with the digital skills necessary to shape their own destiny and make informed, confident choices. The Europe 4.0 Digital Citizens project is designed to empower individuals by offering opportunities to enhance digital skills beyond the basics. It focuses on providing specialized education that helps citizens gain a deep understanding of the ongoing transformations in Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). This initiative is aimed at preparing citizens for meaningful participation in the Digital Decade, fostering an inclusive, high-performing digital education ecosystem to ensure that everyone can thrive in an increasingly digital world. By addressing these needs, the project strives to build a digitally capable and future-ready citizenry across Europe.

THE PARTNERSHIP

Organizations from Poland, Austria, Greece, Portugal, Lithuania, Italy and Cyprus have come together to form a Strategic Partnership. Through mutual learning and support, they address challenges and work towards increasing digital skills across Europe. Additionally, the transnational partnership connects with established networks at local, national, and European levels, enhancing outreach and sustainability.

INNOVATION

The Innovative nature of the Europe 4.0 Digital Citizens project relies on Its capacity to:

* Address Industry 4.0 Needs: It tackles the educational challenges posed by disruptive technologies that are transforming how we live and work. With rapid changes in technology, millions of Europeans need retraining to adapt to new models and tools that didn’t exist just a decade ago.

* Bridge the Digital Divide: As access to ICT becomes widespread, a new digital divide based on education, age, and income is emerging. This project focuses on those most at risk of being excluded from the benefits of the Digital Age, including the poorest, least educated, and older citizens.

* Fill the Gap in Digital Education: There is a shortage of accessible educational programs in advanced digital areas like AI, robotics, and cybersecurity. Most opportunities target experts or are confined to universities. This project aims to create lifelong learning opportunities for those with the least access to digital education.
